Adventure Number 2

It is amazing what a little incentive will get a 2 year old to do.

I've been trying to potty train Piper. To be honest, I really haven't been trying, trying, but she has had a potty since she was 18 months old and we try to get her to use it actively in spurts. While it has been evident that that she gets it, she is not interested in ditching the diapers. Does this qualify as laziness on her part? I don't know, but, since I don't want to be a tyrannt, we haven't been pushing her to use the potty that much. However, there is one little thing that can get her to sit on that potty everytime. And that would be a "treat".

Here's how it goes down.
"Mommy. I need treat"
"Well, I need Piper to go tee tee in the potty. Do you want to go tee tee in the potty?"
"I tee tee in the potty".

This scenario usually takes place after she goes to her bed. So, she'll get out of bed and run to the bathroom and amazingly enough she will use her potty. Then she very excitedly exclaims "I did it! I did it! I need treat!" And the funniest part of this little arrangement is that if she doesn't bring up the "treat" first and you ask her if she wants to go to the potty she will tell you no. Every single time.

Since I don't have a video of the afore mention cuteness I will leave you with a video that shows why you probably don't want to eat peanut butter balls at my house...
